My Approach to Trauma and PANDAS/PANS Therapy
With over 25 years of experience as a therapist, I specialize in helping people heal from trauma and supporting families navigating PANDAS/PANS.
I work with children, teens, adults, and parents across New York State through virtual therapy. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in understanding how the nervous system shapes emotions, behavior, and healing.
Trauma Therapy
When you’ve experienced trauma, your mind and body can remain on high alert—even when you know you’re safe. You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself.
In our work together, we’ll slow things down and focus on helping your nervous system feel steadier and more supported.
Using EMDR and DBT, I help you:
Process painful experiences at a pace that feels manageable
Build skills to regulate intense emotions
Reconnect with a sense of safety, stability, and self-trust
Therapy for PANDAS/PANS
When your child is living with PANDAS or PANS, symptoms like OCD, anxiety, and rage can shift quickly—leaving your whole family feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to respond.
My work focuses on supporting both you and your child so that your home can begin to feel more stable and manageable.
I also recognize that these symptoms are often influenced by underlying neuroinflammation. This means therapy is not about pushing harder—it’s about supporting regulation first and working in a way that matches your child’s current capacity.
Together, we may focus on:
Helping you respond to your child in ways that reduce escalation and stress
Building emotional regulation skills using DBT-informed strategies
Supporting your child with anxiety and OCD using approaches like CBT, SPACE, and (when appropriate) ERP
Creating a more predictable, connected home environment
A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach
No two people—or families—are the same. I tailor our work to your specific needs, taking into account your experiences, your goals, and what your nervous system can handle right now.
We move at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable, so that change doesn’t feel overwhelming—but still feels possible.

Areas of Focus
Trauma Therapy in New York State and Delaware
You may be tired of always feeling on edge—waiting for the next thing to go wrong, replaying the past, or wondering why it’s so hard to relax. Trauma can make your body and mind feel like they’re still in danger, even when you know you’re safe.
In therapy, we’ll slow things down and help your nervous system feel steadier. Using approaches like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), you’ll learn to gently process painful memories, understand your triggers, and reconnect with a sense of calm and self-trust. Together, we’ll help you move from surviving to living with more peace, confidence, and connection.
